Review by Zachary Coleman

Bad Omens is a band that has come up through the metalcore scene, breaking boundaries and breaking through the glass (houses) ceilings that hold those bands to stay in a specific genre. Bad Omens have been adventurous throughout their entire ten-year career, but really hit a unique spot when they released their 2022 album, The Death of Peace of Mind. The single “Just Pretend” went platinum in the United States and accelerated the band towards their success. The band went from performing as openers for bands like Underoath and A Day to Remember in venues with as small as 2,000-person capacity to now headlining arenas on their current Do You Feel Love Tour. The band has been cooking up new “albums” in the studio for the last couple of years. Bad Omens released four singles in 2025 entitled “Specter,” “Impose,” “Dying To Love,” and “Left For Good.” Each single was accompanied by a cinematic music video that are each worth checking out. It is currently unknown if any of those singles are part of a much larger release or just singles for the current tour. Only time will tell.

Bad Omens started their Do You Feel Love Tour in Europe in October 2025 and kicked off their North American leg of the tour on February 22, 2026, in Salt Lake City, Utah. The band has been very creative during this era as they are developing a world that captures everyone who dares to dive in. The creativity expands to their merch, and something unique the band has been doing at every stop of the tour so far is hosting a pop-up shop in each city. These pop-up shops hold exclusive items such as blankets, posters, shirts, socks, hoodies, and even a VHS of their live performance in Amsterdam. (The pop-up shop in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was located at an abandoned shop on 183 Queen St E.) The lines for these pop-up shops have been long to say the least, and people have been reported to wait in lines for hours before being able to enter the shops By the time they enter, many of the items are already sold out due to being limited in quantity. For those who don’t make it to the pop-up shops, they can be sure to pick up (different selections of) merchandise at the shows as well.

The Do You Feel Love Tour made its stop at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on March 6, 2026. If you get to the show early, the tour has a QR code up on the screen to enter a tour giveaway of all the merch being sold on the tour, a signed vinyl, and a signed poster. The tour has support from two stellar openers. The first being newcomers to the scene, the band President. The masked band from the UK formed just a year ago in 2025. No one knew who they were until they were announced to play at that year’s Download Festival. The band released their six-song EP entitled King of Terrors on September 26, 2025. President announced they signed to Atlantic Records along with the release of their latest single, “Angel Wings,” on February 18, 2026, just before the tour officially started. The band’s identities have been concealed since they arrived in the public eye, but the lineup consists of The President (vocalist), Heist (guitarist), Protest (bassist), and Vice (drummer). There is speculation on The President’s identity, but nothing has been confirmed by the group. The band came onstage to their song “Fearless” after playing the “I Like Ike” campaign song from Dwight D. Eisenhower’s presidential campaign in 1952. During their theatrical performance, President went through all seven of their songs. For a band’s first official tour, all the members put on a great show that showed they had previous experience. President did a great job of capturing the audience's attention and offering more to their show than just live versions of studio recordings. The audience even opened up a large mosh pit for their final song, “In The Name Of The Father.” This band will definitely continue to be talked about in the scene while they “build their movement.”

Next up on the tour package is the very well established band from Columbus, Ohio, Beartooth. The band was founded in 2012 by the extremely talented vocalist, Caleb Shomo, after his departure from his previous band, Attack! Attack!. However, Caleb is not only the vocalist of this group. He is everything. From drums, guitar, singing, screaming, bass, and even production. Caleb does it all in the studio for his band. On the road, Caleb is joined by his bandmates Oshie Bichar (bassist), Connor Denis (drummer), Zach Huston (lead guitarist), and Will Deely. (rhythm guitarist). The band has released one EP and five studio albums, making up an impressive discography. Although it seems the band is gearing up for another release. Beartooth released their fresh new single “Free” on February 27, 2026. This is the band’s first release on Fearless Records after being on Red Bull Records for all their previous studio albums, and it is also the first release with co-producer Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me The Horizon). Beartooth came onstage to their groovy tune “Might Love Myself” from their latest album, The Surface. The song was led by Caleb, coming out on stage to sing the chorus a cappella before the full band made their entrance. Even though almost half of their set contained songs from The Surface, they were able to play something from almost every album during their set (with the exception of Aggressive and Sick EP) including their new single. Beartooth ended their set with their song “Riptide,” giving Bad Omens a warmed-up crowd for their set.

Bad Omens came onstage to their single, “Specter,” after a tape recording of a transcript read by American actor Ryan Hurst. The tape recordings divided the band’s thematic set into five different segments. These tapes also gave fans and the band time to catch their breath before diving into the next segment of the show. During these segments, Bad Omens highlighted their entire discography, even playing “Glass Houses” from the debut record. They also played select songs from their experimental release Concrete Jungle [The OST] like “The Drain” and “Anything > Human.” The album most highlighted during their set was, of course, The Death Of Peace Of Mind. Bad Omens played all their hits, but something that made me particularly happy was when they played their song “What It Cost,” and it flowed directly into “Like a Villain,” just like in the album. However, there were many memorable moments during Bad Omens’ set. It’s hard to choose what exactly to write about. From the light show to the stage layout and production, this show was a spectacle from start to finish and showed that Bad Omens is up to the challenge of headlining an arena. Nicholas Ruffilo (bassist), Nick Folio (drummer), and Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson (guitarist) are all excellent musicians, but Noah Sebastian is an absolute monster of a vocalist. I’m not sure if there’s anyone who has his range between singing and screaming. One of the more interesting parts of the show was when Bad Omens played their song “V.A.N” (Violence Against Nature). For those who have listened to the song before, the only vocalist in the studio version of the song is Poppy. During this live performance, Noah layered his soft vocals over the tape of Poppy’s vocals, making the song sound massive and also even more artificial than the studio recording, giving fans a unique take on the track.

When the show was close to being in its final moments, Noah Sebastian came on stage to talk about the night and the tour as a whole. Before he could get out any words, a fan was screaming at the barricade, and he walked over and picked up a Shrek VHS tape that the fan gave him right then and there. Noah stated he would make the entire arena watch the tape for the rest of the set if he “took his band less seriously.”  Noah then talked about how he didn’t know how his band got to where they are, but he was glad they were there, and he was glad everyone else in the arena was there with him as well. In a world that’s “projected as wack,” the world was not like that in the room that night. With a band whose discography doesn’t give that much hope to its listeners, what Noah spoke about offered peace and hope to the audience. The moment itself was inspiring. After Noah was done talking to the packed arena, the band went into their hit, “Just Pretend.”

Bad Omens played all four of their new singles throughout the different segments of the set, ending with “Impose” before the infamous encore song “Dethrone.” It seems that Bad Omens was trying to tell a story that merged between the tape recordings and the latest singles. It will be interesting to see if these ideas play into the next album the band releases. I can’t imagine having recordings of transcripts read by Ryan Hurst is just for a tour, right? I would hope these recordings would eventually become interludes in a future album with the current singles, but that’s just me. I’m sure Bad Omens have many ideas on what they want to do, and it won’t disappoint with whatever the outcome is. Maybe the next time we see them, one of the albums they have been working on will already be out. However, until then, make sure to catch them on this tour. It is not one to miss.
