Incubus released their fourth studio album, The Morning View, on October 22, 2001. The album went double platinum and is the band’s highest-selling record to date. Incubus announced on February 7, 2024, that they had decided to re-record the album. In their social media post they stated “there was a creative challenge here in the attempt to reimagine something we made so long ago that became a soundtrack of sorts to our own experiences, but as well to the lives of so many people who allowed this album to penetrate beyond mere casual listening.” Incubus released The Morning View XXIII on May 10, 2024. The band also stated that it was “obvious” after performing the album in full at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2023, they had to take the album on the road. The initial tour was ten dates long across the United States in 2024. Over a year after the original announcement, on March 10, 2025, Incubus announced the second leg of The Morning View + The Hits Tour in North America and the United Kingdom, with support from Paris Jackson and Manchester Orchestra.

On June 30, 2025, the Incubus tour package made it to their stop at Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This was the first and only Canadian date for the tour. However, rain started downpouring at the amphitheater an hour before doors were scheduled to open, and a shelter-in-place was issued due to a severe weather warning. Doors for the show didn’t open until approximately an hour and a half after the initial time.

Paris Jackson started her set right when the doors opened to help set times being cut shorter. Paris Jackson had been at the original Hollywood Bowl album playthrough show back in 2023, and now she is back opening for the full second leg of the tour. Paris Jackson brought out her acoustic guitar and played a haunting set of songs. She shouted out the other opening act, Manchester Orchestra. Singer, Andy Hull, is even on one of her songs called “eyelids,” and Paris Jackson has covered Manchester Orchestra’s song “My Friend Marcus” in past performances. Incubus’ guitarist, Michael Einziger, even made an appearance for a song during her set.

Manchester Orchestra described this tour as a “shocking and righteous turn of events” when they announced they were going to be opening for the legendary rock group. The band has been working on their upcoming seventh studio album for the past couple years and decided to take a break from the studio to come out on this tour. Manchester Orchestra came out swinging soon after Paris Jackson’s set with their song “Pride” and kept the flow going when diving into their more recent work. The band did an excellent job raising the standard for Incubus to match or exceed later on in the night.

Incubus came out with the album intro to The Morning View “Nice to Know You”, and went through the entire record start to finish. After the fantastic album playthrough, the band played their hits, including songs such as “Drive,” “Pardon Me,” and “Dig.” The band also celebrated bassist Nicole Row’s birthday during their performance. Despite delays, doors opening late, and intense weather, the show still went on, and Budweiser Stage was packed full for the celebration of Incubus’ monumental album. The entire crowd was entranced by the performance and were left wanting more. From great openers to great albums, this tour is not one to miss.
