The Wrecks Concert on May 10, 2025 in Toronto, ON

The Wrecks came out full blast in the music industry with their explosive first single “Favorite Liar” in 2016. The band has since embarked on multiple tours, supporting acts such as The Maine, All Time Low, Dashboard Confessional, and Paramore, as well as their own headline tours, including their current INSIDE: OUTSIDE Tour. The Wrecks’ headline tour started in Berkley, California, on April 18, 2025, just a week after the release of their highly anticipated INSIDE: - EP (released on April 11, 2025).

On May 10, 2025, The Wrecks took over the nearly sold-out Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Ontario. The Wrecks stated Toronto was the “fastest selling city” on the entire tour. The band had support from Quarters of Change and Benjamin Carter, which were able to get the crowd warmed up for the performance that The Wrecks were about to give. The Wrecks started their set with the title track of their debut full-length album SONDER and gradually picked up the intensity for the first few songs.

The band went through almost their entire discography, ranging from playing their hits to some true deep cuts such as “I Hope It’s Cold in New York,” making the night a memorable experience for both new and old fans alike. If you listen to The Wrecks but have never seen them live, you probably wouldn’t expect a mosh pit or circle pit to open up during their songs. However, the band made sure this happened during their performance of “This Life I Have.” The band’s energy live is almost completely unexpected and genuinely a wonderful surprise.

The Wrecks clearly want to be at these shows and do not take them for granted. They also seem to genuinely care about their fans, even the ones who come alone. Nick, the lead vocalist, states that was also him going alone to shows and the sense of community is what these shows are all about. I think concerts can bring out the best and the worst in a musician/band and these concerts bring out the best in The Wrecks. You can catch them on the rest of their INSIDE : OUTSIDE North American Tour until May 31, 2025.
