Mac DeMarco’s concert at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge was a perfect blend of relaxed vibes and quirky humor. The intimate venue set the stage for an evening that felt like a laid-back hangout with an old friend, rather than a formal concert. Opening with Shining, he effortlessly mixed crowd favorites like My Kind of Woman and Ode to Viceroy with newer tracks from his most recent album Guitar.
Between songs, DeMarco’s quirky banter kept things light, while emotional moments like Chamber of Reflection had the crowd captivated. His connection with the audience made it feel more like seeing an old friend than a concert.
In the end, DeMarco’s show at the Corn Exchange was a reminder of why he’s such a beloved artist in the indie rock scene. With his signature laid-back vibe, heartfelt music, and genuine connection to his audience, he delivered a night of mellow magic that left the crowd buzzing long after the final song
